Tales of Words

I saw the letter man again

His alphabets wrapped around my waist ever so delicately

‘Tis was his soft embrace

I leaned in to kiss his ear

But all my lips touched was h-e-a-r m-e s-p-e-a-k

I turned to look at him

He smiled a sinister smile and gave me one last hug

I closed my eyes and inhaled h-e-a-r m-e s-p-e-a-k

My eyes quickly opened as a stream of tears poured out

With my hands I wiped away my tears and saw his parting gifts

On my hands

Letters spelled out

H-e-a-r m-e s-p-e-a-k l-o-v-e
