When I made this self-portrait, I wanted to have more vibrant colors, I wanted to push my mind to rise above mental battles I was having at that time. I don't want to get into details about what those battles were, but this self-portrait allowed me to feel that it doesn't have to be permanent.
So, I took a blanket and pinned it to my wall as a background and shot this pose. In post-production editing I made my skin Black and white and darkened it a bit. For the background I overlayed a textured shot similar to that of a wall to place over my blanket.
