"Glitch In The System" - February 2018
Dimensions: 42" x 23"
Medium: Cardboard, wood, fabric, paint, paper, and matte gel medium.
This piece is a representation of billboards that are in transition with partially torn down posters and momentary interruptions of graffiti.
Glitch in the system is a reaction to the demands that I have received from some faculty members in an institution that I currently attend about watering down my work which usually discusses social issues; the majority of the time those social issues involve the black community.
So, I used the manifesto as the torn down posters and the anarchy symbol as the graffiti mark to make a statement about institutions and how they try to control the way you produce and what you produce.
